Description
An SWR Connecting Coupler is a foundational uPVC plumbing component essential for extending a straight pipeline in SWR drainage systems. Also known simply as a socket or coupler, it is a hollow, tubular fitting with two openings designed to securely join the plain ends of two pipes. Its primary function is to create a seamless and watertight connection, allowing plumbers to extend a drainage line to the required length.
Connecting couplers are available in both ring-type (push-fit with a rubber gasket for easy installation and thermal expansion) and pasted-type (solvent cement for a permanent, fused joint). They are a standard and versatile part of any drainage network, used in both residential and commercial projects for the efficient transportation of soil, waste, and rainwater. Unlike a specialized repair coupler, a standard connecting coupler requires a gap or some flexibility in the pipeline to be installed.
