Description
An SWR Repair Coupler is a specialized plumbing component designed specifically for maintenance and repair of existing SWR drainage systems. Unlike a standard coupler, which requires two pipe ends to be separated and joined, a repair coupler has a wider, more flexible socket or a “slip-on” design. This unique feature allows it to be slid over one end of a pipe that has been cut to remove a damaged section. The new pipe piece is then placed in the gap, and the repair coupler is slid back over the new joint, creating a secure, leak-proof connection. This saves a significant amount of time and effort by avoiding the extensive work of replacing an entire pipe run. SWR repair couplers are typically made from durable uPVC and are available in both ring-type (push-fit with a rubber seal) and pasted-type (solvent weld) versions to suit different installation needs. They are an essential tool for any plumber or contractor for quick and reliable on-site repairs.
