Description
An SWR Single Tee – Pasted Type is a T-shaped uPVC fitting designed to connect a branch line to a main pipeline at a 90-degree angle in a drainage system. The term “Pasted Type” refers to its installation method, which relies on a specialized solvent cement (often called a ‘paste’). This adhesive chemically welds the pipe and the fitting together, creating a solid, permanent, and monolithic joint.
Unlike the ring-type fittings, this method provides a very high-strength bond that is resistant to separation and is ideal for applications where a fixed, non-removable connection is necessary. This type of fitting is commonly used in internal and external drainage lines for soil, waste, and rainwater to ensure a reliable and leak-proof connection that will not shift or separate over time. The pasted joint does not allow for pipe movement due to thermal expansion, so it is often used in conjunction with expansion joints in long-distance pipelines.
